Natura 2000 site: Site of Community Importance / Special Area of Conservation (EU Habitats Directive). Site ES1110006 "Complexo húmido de Corrubedo", 9,270 ha.

Protected habitats: Reefs (1,154 ha); Sandbanks which are slightly covered by sea water all the time (1,138 ha); Large shallow inlets and bays (814 ha); Mudflats and sandflats not covered by seawater at low tide (410 ha); Fixed coastal dunes with herbaceous vegetation ("grey dunes") (314 ha) *. 32 habitat types listed for the site, 7 of them priority types (*).
