Cedar Point puts test seats at the entrances of its major coasters, so try one before queuing. Valravn has modified seats with red seatbelts and GateKeeper has seats that better fit larger guests. The park does not publish weight or waist limits for coasters, so the test seat is the real check.

Before you go

Outside food: Outside food and coolers are generally not permitted, with exceptions for medical, dietary, and baby needs; a sealed water bottle is usually allowed. Confirm the current policy before you pack.
Bag policy: Bags and backpacks are not allowed in ride stations or on most rides. Plan to leave them with a non-rider or in a locker.
Loose articles: Most rides do not allow loose articles (phones, keys, hats, sunglasses, umbrellas). Secure them in a zippered pocket, leave them with a non-rider, use platform bins where offered, or rent a locker. Top Thrill 2 enforces a strict no loose items rule and does not offer free lockers.
Lockers: All-day lockers are inside the Main Gate and at Cedar Point Shores; pay-per-use lockers sit near some ride entrances. Lockers take credit cards, not cash. Pay-per-use starts around $2; all-day lockers cost more.
Mobility: Wheelchairs and ECVs rent first-come at the main entrance; reserve a scooter about 24 hours ahead since they sell out on busy days.
Disability access: Cedar Point Boarding Pass (return-time program) — Boarding Pass return-time program; request it at Guest Services or Town Hall in Frontiertown.
Sensory: Quiet Room at the Frontier Town First Aid; calmer corners along the Frontier Trail. Confirm options at Guest Services.
First aid: Two locations: at the main entrance near the Front Gate, and at Frontier Town First Aid near the back of the park. — Medical staff during park hours; basic wound care; OTC remedies; quiet room (Quiet Room at Frontier Town First Aid); medication refrigeration; help arranging transport to urgent care. — Throughout the park, with AED units at both First Aid locations and at ride stations. Marked on the park map. — Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky is the nearest full-service hospital.
Tip: Reserve a scooter at least 24 hours ahead; same-day rentals run out on busy days.
Tip: Pick up your Boarding Pass at Town Hall in Frontiertown to skip the main Guest Services line.
Quiet spot: Frontier Trail — The quieter, wooded artisan corridor away from the main midway provides shade and a much calmer atmosphere.
Quiet spot: Soak City water park entrance area (if not visiting) — The landscaped area near the Soak City entrance is lower-traffic than the main midway.
Quiet spot: Beach and lakeside path — The Lake Erie shoreline path along the park perimeter offers open air and minimal crowd pressure.
